Terms of service
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using toki suli ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Licence to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
3. The service
toki suli is a language learning application that provides daily vocabulary lessons. The App includes:
- One free language course (toki pona)
- Additional language courses available as in-app purchases
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the App at any time.
4. In-app purchases
4.1 Payment
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's payment terms and conditions.
4.2 Pricing
Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. Prices are subject to change without notice.
4.3 Refunds
All purchases are final. Refund requests must be directed to Apple, as they process all payments. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

4.4 Restore purchases
If you delete and reinstall the App, or use multiple devices, you can restore your previous purchases at no additional cost using the "Restore purchases" option in the App.
5. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicence the App or its content
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
6. Intellectual property
All content in the App, including but not limited to text, lessons, graphics, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The purchase of a language course grants you access to that content within the App. It does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.
7. iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your learning progress will be stored in your personal iCloud account. This feature is provided by Apple, and use of iCloud is subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from iCloud service issues.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of content
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits
- Personal injury
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or us.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App is revoked. Purchased content may no longer be accessible.
12. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
13. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
